Suddenly, it's the San Francisco 49ers that look like a point-a-minute outfit, and the New Orleans Saints like a massive underdog playing on the road. Alex Smith and Michael Crabtree combined on a short touchdown pass to give San Francisco a 14-0 lead late in the second quarter over the Saints.
The drive, set up by a Drew Brees interception, covered just four yards, but gave the Niners a commanding lead. And Crabtree was untouched on the touchdown throw.

The Saints might want to get things in gear before a red-and-gold landslide wipes out their Super Bowl hopes. One thing that won't help in that respect: fumbling the following kickoff, which Courtney Roby did, setting the Niners up in the red zone yet again.
