Stay connected with SB Nation

This game now has some more points! After a long period of time that featured lots of derp, lots of punting and a little more derp, the New Orleans Saints have scored for the first time since the end of the second quarter to pull within three points. Thanks to a 48-yard field goal by John Kasay, The San Fransisco 49ers lead is now just 20-17.

New Orleans had the benefit of solid field position to start the drive, beginning on their own 34-yard line. Darren Sproles, Devery Henderson and Marques Colston all had key receptions that helped move the Saints down the field, but Drew Brees failed to produce another first down once he got his team to the edge of field goal range, forcing the Saints to settle for a Kasay field goal.
