After picking off New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, the Denver Broncos got the ball back with great field position. Willis McGahee was able to pick up five yards on the first play of the drive, followed by a nice Tim Tebow pass to wide receiver Demaryius Thomas for a 12-yard gain to put the Broncos on the 5-yard line and in scoring position.
Then on the first play of the second quarter, Tim Tebow handed the ball off to Willis McGahee who pounded the football in for a 5-yard touchdown run. On the play, McGahee powered through three New England defenders to get into the endzone for the score. With the touchdown, the Broncos pulled within a touchdown of the Patriots, 14-7.
