Stay connected with SB Nation

The Denver Broncos opened up halftime receiving the football, but Matt Willis was tackled at the 15-yard line on the kick return. Running back Lance Ball picked up four yards on the first play of the drive, but Willis McGahee lost two yards on the very next running play to put the Broncos in third-and-eight.

On third down, Tebow dropped back to pass and spun away from the rush. He reset and threw the football down the football field into double coverage to Eddie Royal. Royal was blanked on the play however and Patriots safety Patrick Chung broke up the pass. The Broncos were once again forced into a three-and-out and punted the ball back to the Patriots.
