At the end of the AFC Divisional Playoff game between the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans, Ed Reed fell awkwardly on his ankle and appeared to be in significant pain while talking to reporters post-game. All indications after the game were that Reed was going to be fine, but confirmation finally came on Monday afternoon. X-rays on Reed's ankle were negative, and John Harbaugh confirmed that Reed will play against the New England Patriots.
Ray Lewis is the emotional leader of the Ravens defense and Terrell Suggs is key to the pass rush, but it's hard to argue that Reed isn't just as important to the team. He's a true playmaker in all facets of the game, and he'll be key to attempting to contain Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski.
