Raheem Morris Confirms Firing, Thanks Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made it official and announced the firing of Raheem Morris as head coach. Though Morris' Bucs were a surprise 10-win team last year, they ended this year on a miserable 10-game losing streak so his firing can't come as a major surprise.

Morris released a statement through the Bucs confirming his dismissal.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Glazer family for the opportunity they gave me to be the Head Coach of the Buccaneers. I was honored and blessed to have spent the majority of my coaching career with the same (class) organization. I grew up with the Bucs and I was fortunate enough to be part of a Super Bowl victory there. I wish the Glazers, the management, players, staff and most importantly, the fans nothing but the greatest success in the future."

The Bucs were almost a victim of their own success. They won 10 games last year which surprised just about everyone. That created expectations entering this season, expectations the Bucs couldn't live up to. They finish the season at 4-12.
