The Houston Texans will host their first playoff game in franchise history and they'll have Andre Johnson along for the ride. Johnson has been limited to just seven games this season because of multiple hamstring injuries. He returned in Week 17 and played about 20 snaps in a meaningless game.
Head coach Gary Kubiak confirmed that Johnson will be available next week against the Cincinnati Bengals in the Widl Card round but that Johnson may not be ready for an entire game.
"Yeah, I don't think Andre's ready to play 70 plays, but we don't want him doing that anyway. We want him playing 45 to 50 good ones, but I think he'll be ready to do that."
The Texans have a terrific run game so they've been able to survive without Johnson for part of this year. They'll be facing a strong Bengals defensive line next weekend so they'll need all the help they can get in the passing game. Johnson should provide some help.
