As the 2011 NFL season wound down, we heard Jeff Fisher's name connected with a number of jobs including the San Diego Chargers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Indianapolis Colts and St. Louis Rams. These were just rumors and nothing more.
But we now have actual news regarding Fisher -- he's going to interview with the Rams. Peter King of SI.com reports the interview could take place as soon as this week.
The Rams fired Steve Spagnuolo and GM Billy Devaney on Black Monday. St. Louis is considered one of the better available jobs because of Sam Bradford, plenty of cap space and a high draft pick in 2012. Fisher reportedly wants to be someplace with an established quarterback.
Fisher is the hot name on the market right now with Jon Gruden reportedly staying at ESPN. Fisher coached with the Tennessee Titans for 17 years before parting ways last year.
Check out SB Nation's Turf Show Times where you'll see plenty of happy Rams fans.
