Josh McDaniels Not Fired By St. Louis Rams

The St. Louis Rams made a clean sweep on Black Monday and fired head coach Steve Spagnuolo and GM Billy Devaney, along with a large chunk of their staffs. But one name not included in the list of people fired by the Rams is offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

The assistant coaches outside of McDaniels have their contracts expiring in February but McDaniels is not part of that group. He remains with the Rams, for now.

It's still possible that the Rams hire a new head coach and then McDaniels is fired. In fact, I'd say that's likely at this point, especially if the Rams pick is Jeff Fisher.

The Rams offense was horrible this year but McDaniels will have some suitors if he is fired in St. Louis. The Kansas City Chiefs should be at the top of that list if he's fired.
