Vernon Davis Is Ready To Celebrate The NFC Championship

San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis is feeling pretty good about his team's chances to win the NFC Championship game on Sunday. In fact, Davis is feeling confident enough in the 49ers' ability to beat the New York Giants that he's already selling tickets to his NFC Championship after party.

Tickets start at a very reasonable $20, a small price to pay for what might be the Bay Area's top soiree this weekend. It could also be the most depressing, depending on the results of the game ... and the availability of bottle service.

Here's the invitation.

Davis apparently is not superstitious, which is probably good, albeit unusual, for a professional athlete.

He also seems like a pretty practical guy. Party planning has grown up significantly since the days when you could fill a wading pool with Natural Light and adapt a few soda cans for the folks in the back room. Party planning takes some lead time in this new gilded age, so give Vernon Davis some credit where it's due.
