The Baltimore Ravens have the ability to beat the New England Patriots. The point spread doesn't show it and many predictions on the game (including mine) don't either.
But, as SB Nation's Baltimore Beatdown explained it, the Ravens clearly have the talent to win this game. We asked Baltimore Beatdown why the Ravens can beat the Patriots and why they can blow it.
Why The Ravens Can Win: The Ravens should be able to move the ball on the low-ranked Patriots defense, both on the ground as well as through the air. If RB Ray Rice gets close to 30 touches both rushing and receiving, and QB Joe Flacco has the time to throw against an average pass rush, there is no reason Baltimore can't put close to 30 points on the board and pull off what would be considered an upset everywhere (other than Baltimore).
Why The Ravens Can Lose: If the Ravens are unable to slow down Pats QB Tom Brady and his receivers, getting into a shoot-out, they will have a tough time outscoring New England.
