Read More: Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots
After a three-and-out on their first drive, the Baltimore Ravens' defense did their job and forced the New England Patriots' offense to do the same. With an opportunity to take advantage of a rare empty drive from the Pats, the Ravens couldn't get anything going yet again, and punted for the second time in the game.
Ray Rice was stuffed after one yard on first down, displaying again how the Patriots' defensive line has won the early battle in the trenches. Joe Flacco managed to hit Lee Evans on a quick six-yard strike on second down — his first completion of the game — but he was sacked by Vince Wilfork on third down, and Sam Koch was forced to punt again.
