Trying to build some momentum after the New England Patriots' first mistake, which became an interception by Lardarius Webb, Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron dialed up a deep strike, and this time it paid off. The Ravens opened their fourth drive of the game with their first first down on a 42-yard completion from Joe Flacco to rookie Torrey Smith.
The Ravens offense seemed inspired after the play, and they continued to make plays of positive yardage. Back-to-back runs by Ray Rice set up third-and-five, when Flacco hit Smith for 11 yards to move the ball inside the red zone and get another first down.
The drive stalled inside the 10, however, after a Ray Rice run and short passes to Vonta Leach and Anquan Boldin left the Ravens with a fourth-and-1 on the 3-yard line. Down 3-0, Ravens coach John Harbaugh did the smart thing and let Billy Cundiff kick a field goal to tie the game, 3-3.
