Ravens Vs. Patriots, 2012 AFC Championship Game: Baltimore Can't Score Before Halftime Down 13-10

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Baltimore Ravens' defense held the New England Patriots to just a field goal after an impressive drive, leaving Joe Flacco, Ray Rice and the Ravens offense three minutes to try to put some points of their own on the board, down 13-10.

Flacco hit his eighth consecutive pass to Ray Rice for a first down, but threw a towering fly ball — really the only way to describe it, it was so, so high — that Torrey Smith couldn't run down. After Rice was stopped on second down, Flacco decided to then pour the ball into Dennis Pitta, who caught a touchdown just minutes earlier, hitting him for 15 yards on third-and-14, then again for eight yards on first down. Two straight incomplete passes, however, mean the Ravens had to punt back to Tom Brady and the Patriots, who have 58 seconds and two timeouts to work with.
