Shortly after the 2011-12 NFL regular season ended reports surfaced that free agent coach Jeff Fisher was interviewing with two teams -- Miami Dolphins and St. Louis Rams. The Rams haven't confirmed the interview (and neither have the Dolphins for that matter) but his interview in Miami is taking place on Tuesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The Miami Herald recently made the case that the Dolphins have to hire Fisher. With Jon Gruden staying at ESPN, he's the hottest coaching name on the market.
The Dolphins job may not be the best one available but it's still a good one. After starting 0-7, the dolphins finished the season winning six of their last nine games. Clearly, they have some talent. What they're missing, for the most part, is a quarterback.
Reports have said that Fisher prefers to find a job with an established quarterback, or with a team that has a top draft pick. The Dolphins have neither. The Rams, on the other hand, have a good, young quarterback in Sam Bradford and the No. 2 overall pick. In that sense, the Rams may make more sense.
Hop on over to SB Nation's The Phinsider where you have a lot of Dolphins fans hoping the team makes a move for Fisher.
