We are only one day away from the start of the 2012 NFL playoffs. The schedule has the Cincinnati Bengals and Houston Texans squaring off at 4:30 p.m. The game will be televised on NBC and it will be the first game of Wild Card weekend.
This is the weekend every NFL team has been waiting for (which means there are 20 disappointed teams). The playoffs in the NFL always have an upset or two and I suspect this year wil be no different.
The Texans, making their first playoff appearance in franchise history, are three point favorites in the game. They'll rely on their rushing attack, which is among the league's elite, as well as a somewhat-healthy Andre Johnson, who is expected to play.
The Bengals made it here led by a rookie quarterback in Andy Dalton and rookie receiver in A.J. Green. They have terrific line play and for that reason I don't expect them to be blown out.
It will be the first time rookie quarterbacks face off against each other in the playoffs and this should be a close game as many experts are predicting.
