NFC Wild Card 2012, Lions Vs. Saints: Both Teams Meet Saturday Relatively Healthy

There are plenty of story lines to cover for Saturday night's NFC Wild Card game between the Detroit Lions and the New Orleans Saints. There's Drew Brees' record-setting season, the Lions' run to their first playoff berth since the 1999 season, etc. Something that thankfully won't be major a story line, however, are injuries to either squad.

The Lions enter Saturday's game with 11 players on the injury report. Only one of those players, safety Chris Harris, is listed as anything other than "probable," however. Harris has a back injury that will likely keep him out against the Saints. With Louis Delmas returning from injury, there was a good chance Harris would have seen the bench anyway.

The biggest absence for the Saints will be wide receiver Lance Moore, who also missed last week's game against the Carolina Panthers with a hamstring injury. Linebacker Jonathan Casillas and little-used tight end John Gilmore are also expected to sit. Robert Meachem and Jonathan Vilma are listed, but both are marked as "probable."
