Early on, Andy Dalton looked like the rookie quarterback who was going to win the NFL's first-ever battle of rookie starting quarterbacks in the playoffs. Since the second half has begun, he's just looked like a rookie quarterback.
Just minutes after throwing his second interception, Dalton fired a high heater to the near sideline that Danieal Manning snagged for the Houston defense's third pick of the day.
After starting this AFC Wild Card game 12-for-16, Dalton has cratered against a Houston defense that has taken away A.J. Green, his safety blanket, and turned up the heat up front. He's eight-for-14 since, but three of his incompletions are interceptions, and all three of those picks are demonstrably his fault.
