The New Orleans Saints forced the Detroit Lions to punt hoping to add to their lead. The Saints began a methodic march down the football field to take the lead on a 13 play drive that went 92 yards. It wasn't all in big chunks of yardage however, as the Saints offense also picked up some tough yardage on the ground including Brees leaping over the line to pick up a fourth down, which left ESPN's Chris Mortensen thoroughly impressed.
That Brees' sneak a tribute to his athleticism and devotion to strength training. He power cleans.

A few plays after the fourth down conversion, Drew Brees hit wide receiver Marques Colston deep for a big 40-yard gain to set the Saints up on the 3-yard line. Brees connected with tight end Jimmy Graham for his second touchdown pass of the night to put the Saints up 24-14.
