Falcons Vs. Giants, NFL Playoffs 2012: Announcing Team Features Joe Buck And Troy Aikman

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Atlanta Falcons and New York Giants are the first of two games scheduled to be played on the first Sunday of the NFL Playoffs. The game should be one of the more exciting match-ups of the first weekend as both teams showed some excellent abilities this season.

The announce team will feature two of Fox's favorites as Joe Buck and Troy Aikman take center stage on Sunday afternoon. It could end up a bit awkward as the duo has been criticized in the past for harsh criticism of Giants quarterback Eli Manning -- at least that's what his father, Archie, told ESPN.

"I don't always listen to Troy and Joe," Archie said. "They're kind of hard on Eli. Joe's always been really tough on Eli, and it seems this year Troy is too. But that's OK. Sometimes I just mute them."

Let's see if the elder Manning's speaking out about the announcing duo causes them to change their tone on New York's quarterback.
