Thanks to the NFL's emphasis on winning your division, the 8-8 Denver Broncos have home field in their Wild Card matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday afternoon. The game will be played at Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium, an outdoor venue, so the teams will be subjected to the elements. Fortunately for fans of offense, the weather is supposed to be crisp and clear with little wind for the game, according to Weather.com.
The good-weather forecast seems to bode well for the Steelers, who will rely on throwing the ball early and often. They were a pass-first team this season, but will likely be passing even more in the playoffs after Rashard Mendenhall tore his ACL in their regular season finale. The Broncos' secondary will be tested against the likes of MIke Wallace, Antonio Brown and Hines Ward, and will have to contain them without Brian Dawkins, who will miss the game with a neck injury.
