Read More: Brent Grimes (CB - ATL), Jake Ballard (TE - NYG), Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants
The Atlanta Falcons will be without one of their best defensive backs in their NFC Wild Card Playoff matchup against the New York Giants. Brent Grimes has been declared inactive, and we have the signed list to prove it. Against the Giants, who boast one of the best receiving corps in the league with Victor Cruz, Hakeem Nicks and Mario Manningham.
What's more, the Giants' pass attack gets a boost, as their inactive list doesn't include tight end Jake Ballard, who has been injured for weeks. Without Grimes, the Falcons will struggle to cover Cruz's speed, as Grimes is one of the fastest defensive backs in the league. In almost every Giants win, it seems like Cruz gets open deep for a huge catch, and if the Falcons want to continue playing against the Green Bay Packers, they'll need to contain him without Grimes.
