The Miami Dolphins head coaching search appears to be moving away from Jeff Fisher, according to a Sunday morning report from FOX's Jay Glazer. Other reports had recently started indicating that Fisher was likely to pick the St. Louis Rams.
Fisher said earlier in the week that he was down to the Dolphins and Rams and that he was likely to make a final decision next week. The Dolphins fired Tony Sparano mid-season while the Rams let Steve Spagnuolo go on Black Monday.
Fisher has interviewed with both teams in the last week and as of Sunday he was in St. Louis viewing the facilities and even meeting with players. Glazer says he would be shocked if Fisher weren't the Rams coach within 48 hours.
The Dolphins were reported to be determined not to be outbid for Fisher. Apparently that won't matter. If the reports are accurate, we should be hearing soon that Fisher is officially the next head coach of the Rams.
