Read More: Ben Roethlisberger (QB - PIT), Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will start as expected, but Jay Glazer reported on FOX that the QB is still not feeling 100 percent healthy. He's still suffering from some of the effects of a bad high ankle sprain that he suffered a month ago. Roethlisberger probably hasn't helped himself heal quickly by playing two games on that badly sprained ankle.
Roethlisberger started on Dec. 19 against the San Fransisco 49ers immediately after spraining that ankle, and that proved to be a poor decision. He was very poor in that game as he struggled to make throws that are usually very simple for him, and then proceeded to sit out the next two games. Roethlisberger returned in Week 17 against the Cleveland Browns, but he still didn't look like himself.
Though Roethlisberger has proven through the years that he's very capable of playing hurt, the Steelers could struggle if he still can't make throws to the best of his ability. With Rashard Mendenhall out, the Steelers will rely on Roethlisberger to make accurate throws to move the ball even more than they do normally.
