Falcons Vs. Giants: Stuffed Again, Atlanta Nets Just Ten Yards To Open The Second Half

Stay connected with SB Nation

Atlanta started the second half of the game with another shot, another chance to put some points on the board and erase a five-point deficit. They started that attempt with a handoff to Michael Turner, who has found running room hard to come by in the game. He picked up two yards.

Atlanta went back to Turner who made a classic power run for nine yards and the first down. Back to Turner on that first down, and he was stuffed by Jason Pierre-Paul for one-yard loss.

Chris Canty, the man with the scariest face mask in the NFL, got his hand on the ball, sending it straight up and off course. Mercy granted the Falcons a break when nobody came up with the jump ball. Pierre-Paul and Aaron Ross were both hurt on the next play.

Third-and-long, Ryan throws down the field to Roddy White, but Corey Webster had him smothered in coverage. Pass incomplete, and the Falcons' punting team was on the field again.
