Steelers Vs. Broncos, 2012 AFC Wild Card: Pittsburgh Strikes First With Shaun Suisham 45-Yard Field Goal

Stay connected with SB Nation

Isaac Redman opened the Pittsburgh Steelers' first drive of the game with a two-yard run. After an incomplete pass and a Denver Broncos neutral zone infraction, Pittsburgh converted a third-and-three when Ben Roethlisberger, bum ankle and all, hit tight end Heath Miller for an eight-yard gain and first down.

Big Ben went right back to Miller, hitting him on a seam route for a big 33-yard pickup.

Things stalled out after that. Redman picked up three yards, an incomplete pass to Antonio Brown and a two-yard gain to Mike Wallace on third-and-seven.

Shaun Suisham put the Steelers on the board with a 45-yard field goal in the crisp, dry Denver air.
