Steelers Vs. Broncos, 2012 AFC Wild Card: Pittsburgh Punts For The First Time

Stay connected with SB Nation

Pittsburgh started their second drive of the game with a beautiful throw for 17 yards to Mike Wallace on the left side of the field. Wallace ran a near perfect route to make the catch. The going got tougher after that.

Isaac Redman picked up two yards on a run over the middle. Roethlisberger hit Antonio Brown for a five yard gain to set up third-and-three, but Jericho Cotchery could not catch the pass to make the conversion on that play. Pittsburgh punted it to the Denver 11-yard line, and that's where Tim Tebow took over.

Pittsburgh leads 3-0 after a field goal on their first drive. More importantly, the Steelers have to feel pretty good that Roethlisberger has yet to show the lingering effects of his high ankle sprain that kept him out in Week 17.
