Read More: Ben Roethlisberger (QB - PIT), Robert Ayers (DE - DEN), Quinton Carter (S - DEN), Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos
Few would have predicted that the Pittsburgh Steelers would have found themselves in a 14-6 hole to the Denver Broncos in the second quarter of their AFC Wild Card matchup. Making matters worse, the Steelers started out their next drive with a three-yard run followed by a Robert Ayers sack on Ben Roethlisberger for a nine-yard loss.
Things really looked bad when Roethlisberger got up limping after the sack, limping on his injured ankle. On the next play, third-and-16, it was clear that his mobility was shaky. With pressure coming, Roethlisberger threw it up and Broncos safety Quinton Carter picked him off, returning the ball nine yards.
It's gut check for the Steelers.
SB Nation's NFL bloggers made predictions for Wild Card weekend and here's a look at the updated NFL playoffs schedule for Sunday. Check out Behind The Steel Curtain for more on the Steelers and Mile High Report for more on the Broncos.
