Steelers Vs. Broncos, 2012 AFC Wild Card: Pittsburgh Scores To Cut Denver's Lead, 20-13

The Steelers may want to review forward passes versus laterals once their season ends, which could be sooner rather than later the way things are going in this game. Pittsburgh got a big break when Denver opted not to challenge the call. From there, the Steelers marched down the field before finally scoring their first touchdown to cut the Broncos' lead to 20-13.

Pittsburgh executed a prefect screen on their second play of the drive. Heath Miller picked up 10 yards on that play, but it wasn't enough since they were at second-and-13 thanks to an illegal substitution penalty. A three-yard gain on a pass to Antonio Brown. Then came the lateral, where the Steelers got a big break.

After two incomplete passes, Roethlisberger pulled down a fly ball snap from backup center Doug Legursky and hit Emmanuel Sanders for an 18-yard gain. After than, Antonio Brown gained 18 yards running around the left side. It finally looked as though the Steelers offense was clicking.

They went back to Isaac Redman up the middle on third-and-two. He shuffled with cutback move around a mass of blue jerseys around the line of scrimmage before getting into the open field, finally being brought down inches from the goal line.

Mike Wallace ran a sweep to the right side for a touchdown, his first ever rushing touchdown.
