Jan 8, 2012 - With their dramatic 29-23 overtime win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the AFC West champion Denver Broncos have advanced to the divisional round of the AFC Playoffs, where they will face the New England Patriots. The top-seeded Patriots will host Denver at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 8:00 p.m. ET in Saturday's late game. The game will be broadcast nationally on CBS.
The Patriots will likely open as double-digit favorites. That won't be news to the Broncos, and they were more than seven-point underdogs at kickoff of their game against the Steelers. Though the announcers have not yet been announced, Jim Nantz and Phil Simms are expected to call the game for CBS. The other AFC Playoff match features the Houston Texans going away to face the Baltimore Ravens and will take place on Sunday.
