Green Bay offensive coordinator Joe Philbin's son is missing after a weekend outing with friends in Wisconsin.
The son of Green Bay Packers coordinator Joe Philbin is missing after a weekend boating trip in Wisconsin. Michael T. Philbin, 21, went missing on Sunday morning after heading out with friends to an area near the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh campus.
Divers recovered a body from the Fox River on Monday, but police have not publicly identified it, and will not do so until Tuesday. The Winnebago County Sheriff's Department told reporters that a man at a local business heard a man on the ice in the river yelling for help on Sunday morning.
Philbin has been the Packers' offensive coordinator since 2007, and with the team since 2003. Since becoming the team's coordinator, Philbin has overseen a late-career renaissance by Brett Favre and the development of Aaron Rodgers, who guided Green Bay to its first Super Bowl title since 1996 and is a prohibitive favorite to win the 2011 NFL MVP award.
