Howard Smith-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick suffered a knee contusion against the New York Giants on Sunday night, but Andy Reid said Vick will be fine to practice on Wednesday.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said on Monday that quarterback Michael Vick suffered a knee injury in Sunday's victory over the New York Giants, but that it was only a contusion.

According to Reid, Vick suffered the injury when sliding down at the end of the game. The Eagles beat the Giants, 19-17, on Sunday night at New York's MetLife Stadium.

Reid said that Vick was "up and moving" on Monday and "doing good." Vick will be fine to practice on Wednesday, Reid said.

Vick has started all four games at quarterback for the 3-1 Eagles after being hampered by injuries in the preseason. This season Vick has completed 88 passes for 1,146 yard and four touchdowns, but has been picked off six times and fumbled twice. Vick has rushed 27 times for 130 yards and one touchdown.

The Eagles return to action on Sunday, Oct. 7 when they visit the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field. That game is scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on FOX.
