The 49ers are favorites at home as they face the Giants in Week 6.
The New York Giants will be underdogs as they travel to San Francisco for an NFC Championship rematch with the 49ers on Sunday. The Niners opened as 3-point favorites, typically meaning the odds makers believe the teams to be equal with the advantage given to the home team. More money is coming in for San Francisco, as the line now sits between 4 1/2 and 5 1/2, depending on the site.
The total opened at 45, and has stayed pretty close to there, with some sites lowering it to 44 1/2. Both teams have shown potent offenses recently, with the 49ers averaging 29.8 points per game and the Giants at 30.4. New York has been giving up far more points, at 22.2, compared to 13.6 for San Francisco.
The Giants are 2-3 against the spread this season, and 1-1 ATS on the road. The 49ers have covered the spread in all four of their wins, with the only time they failed to cover coming in their loss at Minnesota.
