The New England Patriots will face a stout defense and a crazy Seahawks crowd when they visit Seattle on Sunday
The New England Patriots open as just 3-point favorites over the Seattle Seahawks heading into their game on Sunday in Seattle.
Part of the respect for the Seahawks has to come from their distinct homefield advantage due to having possibly the loudest stadium in the league, as well as a dominant defense that has kept a subpar offense in virtually every game this season.
The Patriots have an explosive offense due to the way in which quarterback Tom Brady distributes the ball to his receivers, but the Seahawks proved during their controversial win over the Green Bay Packers that they can hound any quarterback and disrupt any offense with just a four-man pass rush led by rookie Bruce Irvin.
The over/under is 44 points and that might be pushing it due to the Seahawks lack of offensive firepower. The Seahawks have only scored 21 points or more once all season and that was in Week 2. But their defense is ranked in the top five in both passing yards allowed and rushing yards allowed so they've been in every game except one.
New England has scored less than 21 points only once and put up a season-high 52 points in Week 4. They're in the top 10 in passing and rushing yards so something has to give.
