The Detroit Lions will visit the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon in a battle of NFC contenders.
Jim Schwartz's group is 1-3 on the campaign and in danger of slipping too far back in the very competitive NFC East. The Lions have suffered some unexpected losses since barely beating the St. Louis Rams on opening day, including to the Tennessee Titans and Minnesota Vikings.
Philadelphia has been wildly inconsistent and is still struggling with turnover issues. Michael Vick has made some big plays as usual, but he's also been giving the ball away at an alarming rate. The Eagles were beaten last weekend on a last-second Shaun Suisham field goal in Pittsburgh, dropping their record to 3-2.
However, the experts at ESPN.com are all going with the home team except for Tom Jackson, who's taking his chances with Detroit. On Yahoo.com, Les Carpenter sided with Philadelphia while Jason Cole is sticking with Matthew Stafford and co. Finally, the men at CBSSports.com overwhelming picked the Eagles straight up, save Josh Katzowitz.
