Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller will continue to split carries when the Buffalo Bills play the Arizona Cardinals this week. We break down the fantasy implications.
Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller are expected to continue splitting carries when the Buffalo Bills play the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6, according to the Bills' official site. Head coach Chan Gailey said he may ride one back if there is a hot hand.
"I don't know how to solve that problem when you have two great players at the same position," said Gailey. "If one of them all of a sudden gets a hot hand then it's easy to figure out. Going into a game you have two great players and you want to play them as equal as possible and then you see how the game is going, that's what you do."
Fantasy Impact: The Cardinals have been stout against the run, giving up just 3.6 yards per carry this season. Still, the Bills were able to rush for 4.7 yards per carry against the San Francisco 49ers, albeit in a blowout. If one of Jackson or Spiller could take control of the starting job, he would be a solid weekly RB1/RB2 in standard fantasy formats. As things stand, both backs are closer to Flex options.
