The Philadelphia Eagles could use the no-huddle offense more often to help Michael Vick get into a better rhythm. We break down the fantasy implications.
Quarterback Michael Vick seems to have a better rhythm in the no-huddle offense and the team could use it more going forward, offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said on Thursday. Vick has thrown six interceptions and lost five fumbles through five games but the Eagles still have a 3-2 record heading into Sunday's game with Detroit.
Fantasy Impact: Short of punting on third down, fantasy owners shouldn't blame the Eagles for trying anything that would prevent turnovers. Vick has had some dreadful outings for Philadelphia this season but has still been a usable fantasy quarterback. The Eagles are fortunate to be where they are and Vick's fantasy value will only increase if the turnovers drop -- so bring on the no-huddle. Vick remains a low-end No. 1 fantasy option at quarterback against the Lions.
