The NFL issued a stat correction this week changing what was initially credited as a 13-yard Rashard Mendenhall touchdown run, to a touchdown catch on a pass thrown by Ben Roethlisberger, according to NFL.com. After the correction, Roethlisberger's updated numbers are 22-for-38 passing for 220 yards and one touchdown. Mendenhall technically finished the day with 13 carries for 68 yards, and three receptions for 33 yards and a score.
Fantasy Impact: Mendenhall's numbers don't change much. The running back earned one extra point for owners in PPR leagues. Roethlisbergers' day became significantly better, however. Assuming your league score four points per touchdown and one point per 25 yards passing, Roethlisberger earned 4.52 more fantasy points as a result of the correction. The change no doubt affects several fantasy leagues. Roethlisberger was started in 23 percent of leagues last week, according to NFL.com.
