Julian Edelman returned to practice for the New England Patriots on Thursday, according to Christopher Price of WEEI.com. He had not practiced since suffering a hand injury in Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens. Edelman's status for Week 6 against the Seattle Seahawks is still unclear.
Fantasy Impact: Getting any kind of concrete information out of the Patriots is nigh impossible, but considering the short turnaround from Thursday to Sunday it is probably a safe bet that Edelman will sit out a third straight game. What kind of fantasy value he will have once healthy is still unclear. Edelman was stealing snaps from Wes Welker before getting hurt, but he didn't turn an increased role into much production. Hold off on making any kind of waiver move for the wideout until his prospects are more clearly defined.
