Darrius Heyward-Bey practiced again on Friday and is set to make his return against the Falcons in Week 6. We break down the fantasy implications.
Oakland Raiders WR Darrius Heyward-Bey (concussion, neck) practiced again on Friday and is on track to play in Week 6 against the Atlanta Falcons, reports Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times.
Heyward-Bey was carted off in Week 3 after a scary helmet-to-helmet hit from Steelers S Ryan Mundy. It looked like a potential season-ender, if not career-ender, but the injury was less serious than feared. Thanks to some fortunate timing (the Raiders had a bye in Week 5), Heyward-Bey is looking to only miss one game.
Fantasy Impact: Barring any last-minute setbacks, DHB will get the start opposite Denarius Moore. He had nine catches for 98 yards and a TD before the injury, and the Raiders will be happy to have his deep-threat ability back.
The Falcons rank 9th in passing defense, so DHB isn't an easy fantasy play this week, but if you're feeling bold, you can go ahead and slot him in as a WR3 for now.
