The 4-1 Minnesota Vikings head to the nation's capital to face the Washington Redskins, who hope to have Robert Griffin III after he suffered a concussion last week.

The surprising 4-1 Minnesota Vikings take on a 2-3 Washington Redskins team that might be without the services of Robert Griffin III.

Griffin suffered a concussion last week, and although signs point to him playing, there's reason to believe he might not start. His backup, Kirk Cousins, tossed a touchdown in his first significant game action, but also threw a pair of picks in only nine passes. Griffin has been the primary factor in Washington's success this year, having a monster game in a win over New Orleans and leading the team on a game-winning drive against Tampa Bay. The team's three losses have been close, none by more than a touchdown, but they're losses nonetheless.

Minnesota started the season innocuously enough with a close win over the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars and a close loss to last year's worst team, the Indianapolis Colts. Since then, they've torn through contenders in San Francisco and Detroit, destroying the Tennessee Titans last week. In their last three games, they haven't allowed more than 13 points and haven't scored less than 20. Adrian Peterson is on pace for another 1,000 yard season with Christian Ponder impressing at QB, but the real story is a stout defense that kept Tennessee off the board until the fourth quarter last week.
