Evan Habeeb-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire
Julian Edelman did not make the trip when the New England Patriots traveled to Seattle to play the Seahawks on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Julian Edelman did not travel with the New England Patriots to Seattle to play the Seahawks on Sunday, and will not see the field in Week 6, according to the Boston Herald. Edelman will miss his third straight game due to a hand injury suffered in Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens.
Edelman missed practice Wednesday, but was able to practice on a limited basis Thursday and Friday. He should be ready to return for the Patriots soon, though he has just 10 receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown through the three games he has appeared in.
Fantasy Impact: Edelman's fantasy value when healthy is still unclear. He was taking snaps away from Wes Welker before being forced to the sideline, but he had yet to turn the extra reps into Welker-like production. Edelman could be ready to play next week, but you should hold off on picking him up off waivers until he actually produces in a game.
