Peyton Hillis ruled inactive in Week 6 by Chiefs: Fantasy implications

Timothy T. Ludwig-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Peyton Hillis has been ruled inactive for Sunday's game between the Chiefs and Buccaneers. We break down the fantasy implications.

Peyton Hillis has been ruled inactive for Sunday's game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Hillis has yet to practice since suffering an ankle injury in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints. He was ruled out on the team's Friday injury report.

With Hillis out, Jamaal Charles will once again be the Chiefs' unquestioned starter out of the backfield. Shaun Draughn will act as the No. 2 running back for the game.

Fantasy Impact: Draughn has been running relatively well, so Hillis may not even have much of role when he is able to re-join the Chiefs. When exactly that date will be is still unclear. Hillis needs to return to practice before fantasy owners can even think about picking him back up off waivers.

Neither Draughn nor Hillis should be considered any threat to Charles, who has had over 100 total yards in three straight games, and three total touchdowns over that same span.
