Both the Raiders and Falcons are learning to share – by way of turnovers.
Early in Sunday's game between the Oakland Raiders and Atlanta Falcons, both teams have gifted the ball to each other through early turnovers.
Matt Ryan was entering today's game against as the second-highest-rated passer of the year, and had only thrown four interceptions on the season. Today in Atlanta he added to that total, as Ryan targeted WR Harry Douglas on a crossing route, and completely missed that CB Joselio Hanson had been sitting on the route while it developed.
The Raiders haven't been known for generating turnovers this season, and Hanson's INT was their first for the year. Their advantage wouldn't last long, as Darren McFadden gave the ball right back to Atlanta.
Oakland can't afford to make these mistakes if they hope to stay in the game.
