New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is officially active for the team's game on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. We break down the fantasy implications.
New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is officially active for the team's game on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, according to Adam Caplan. Hernandez suffered a sprained ankle against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2 and hasn't played since, missing three straight games. He was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday but missed practice on Friday.
Rob Gronkowski is also listed as questionable for the Patriots, so Hernandez could see a healthy dose of targets. New England has a tough matchup against the Seattle passing defense, however.
Fantasy Impact: The return of Aaron Hernandez is a huge boost for fantasy owners who have waited patiently for him to recover from the ankle injury. He was considered one of the best fantasy tight ends in the league preseason, so he should return to that distinction once he is completely healthy.
Fantasy owners should temper their expectations for Week 6, though. The Patriots could have a tough time moving the ball against the Seahawks' defense.
