Pierre Garcon injury update: Fantasy value zero with inactive status

Brad Mills-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon is officially inactive for the team's game on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings with a foot injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon is officially inactive for the team's game on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings with a foot injury. Garcon suffered the injury in Week 1. He played the last two weeks but suffered a setback in Friday's practice and will not play this week.

The Redskins are struggling with injuries right now. Despite Garcon missing the game, Washington got good news when Robert Griffin III was cleared to play. The Redskins' passing attack has a good matchup against the Vikings' secondary.

Fantasy Impact: Pierre Garcon had the looks of a solid fantasy wide receiver this season, but injuries have derailed the early portion of his season. He and Griffin developed some chemistry in the early going, but Garcon can't stay on the field.

Fantasy owners better hope that Garcon hasn't set himself back too far by coming back too soon. He's already lost a good portion of the season.
