Webb was carried off of the field in the first quarter and the news may not be getting any better for Baltimore.
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb was taken off of the field in the first quarter in their game against Dallas today, and early word from Jason La Canfora on Twitter is that Webb may have torn his ACL.
Webb has been very valuable on defense for the Ravens, starting 15 games last season and recording five interceptions and 21 pass deflections.
It's just more bad news for a defense that has already put 2011 AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year Terrell Suggs on the Physically-Unable-to-Perform list and also sent defensive tackle Haloti Ngata to the training room today. The Ravens have not been their usual selves on defense this year and losing Webb for the rest of the season would be just another blow to Baltimore.
The defense ranked 24th in total defense going into their game against Dallas today and has given up almost 500 yards of total offense to the Cowboys. They're not likely to get better without their starting corner.
