Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis will miss the rest of the season after an MRI on Monday revealed a complete tear of his triceps, according to a report from Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.
Lewis was injured during the fourth quarter of the Ravens' game against the Cowboys. The team initially feared the injury might be a tear, but it wasn't confirmed until Monday's MRI. The 37-year-old will now miss the rest of the season, and the injury puts some doubt as to his future career.
Lewis will now be facing a long rehabilitation and could possibly decide to retire, rather than attempt to work his way back. After playing every game from 2008-2010, this is the second straight season Lewis will miss time due to an injury. He missed four games last season.
In six games this season, Lewis racked up 57 tackles and one sack. He leads the team in tackles and now Baltimore will have to go on without its two top linebackers, as Terrell Suggs remains out with an Achilles injury.
