Christian Ponder puts up big yardage for fantasy owners in Week 6

Christian Ponder was forced to throw often against the Redskins. We break down the fantasy implications.

With the Vikings attempting to mount a comeback in the second half, quarterback Christian Ponder was forced to throw the ball often. He finished with 352 yards and two touchdowns through the air, turning the ball over twice along the way.

Ponder padded his stats late in the game with the Redskins playing back a lot to just prevent big plays. Don't expect him to throw 52 passes every week.

Fantasy Impact: One of Ponder's interceptions completely sailed on a simple five-yard check down pass. It would be nice to see him hone in on his accuracy better going forward.

The Vikings take on an Arizona Cardinals squad next week that has allowed more yards through the air in recent weeks. Ponder is still a risky play, but he might be a nice fill-in for bye weeks.
