The Miami Dolphins were excited to add two of their all-time greats into their Ring of Honor on Sunday, and the Rams made the day even better by falling to the host Dolphins 17-14. St. Louis continues to be winless on the road, falling short when a 66-yard field goal attempts by Greg Zuerlein missed in the closing seconds. It would have been an NFL record had the kick connected.
The Rams remained winless on the road, and SB Nation's Turf Show Times commented at length on that frustrating fact:
Pick your poison when it comes to mistakes. Penalties, yep, the Rams had those on both sides of the ball. Poor decision making, plenty of that to be found. Hell, even the usually reliable Greg Zuerlein looked all too human, missing three field goals after starting the game a perfect 15-for-15 ... as a rookie.
Those missed chances on field goals came after the offense moved the ball well. The Rams had 492 yards of total offense with Sam Bradford throwing for 315 yards and the ground game generating 162 yards. They only managed one touchdown, however, on a one-yard run in the fourth quarter by Bradford.
